Guest guest
Yes it is so rare, is it not, to find someone experienced in centering not on the self or some sophisticated realization of it, leading to further distinctions between beings, but instead, on the uncomplicated but miraculous unity that is expressed in the Divine Mother's love. That man or woman who is living That, and can teach that orientation to life is rare, yes indeed -- very rare. My suspicion they are most often quiet people who have no proclamation whatsoever and go by largely unnoticed. Pranams Swamiji ... one more question ... this is again, about suffering. When Thakur, or Ramana, Nisargadatta, or Jesus, or other evolved person, suffered in the physical body ... what does this mean? Perhaps I can phrase this to make more sense. That word "suffering" when used in spiritual talk ... as in, "attachment alone is the cause of suffering" [baba Hari Das] ... is this use of the term "suffering" limited to emotional, attachment, and mental issues? and does not include pain from neurological events, calamities, etc? The core of the question is, is any incarnated being ever completely free of suffering? When we observe Maharshi and others in great pain with cancer, etc. Is their consciousness capable of resting in a center of peaceful awareness EVEN WHEN the most terrible of physical pains is being endured. Shivapuri Baba, when asked a similar question "Do you suffer illness, pain, etc?" replied "Yes ... but there is no `hurt' in it." Does that explain it from your understanding and experience? Or is there a Yogic state that results from one's devotions so that in a sense one is protected from pain. If so, is this state available to be permanently entered into [permanently meaning, within the context of the entity's existence.] Thank you for considering this. Pranams, Steve C.
