Guest guest
if there is pain, there is the drawing away from pain, which is aversion, which is a dual condition: i must avoid this. or, i am enduring this. even pure pain without much thought at all is a form of suffering. is my thinking wrong, have i been so influenced by advaita i cannot see the goddess manifests through all this, even the pain, and that she herself battles the asuras? where, where, where is my understanding wrong. a question for swamiji: the wonder of the chandi and its effectiveness ... does it lie in its ability to make the mind participate in its own demise? very gently we become engaged in the diminishment of our egotism as we live out this story in our own beingness. swamiji, what of practices that seek to directly quell the mind? are they of value in your estimation. also: at one time various archetypes approached and asked me to animate their existence. i turned them away, wanting only the one reality. is this an error, are the gods and goddesses all required to be present in our bliss, or are we ever entirely alone, or, are we alone when we are with them? in happy awareness nothing can be in error that leads to the mother of all things, places, and beings. pranams to thee, swami satyananda saraswati. steve c.
