Guest guest
Question from Karen: For Christmas, I received a very beautiful statue of Lakshmi, whom I consider my Ishta Devata. Swamiji, you had kindly given me instructions for the establishment of life in my deity, and she occupies a lovely altar. However, Mike and I have are in process of making the best room in our house into a temple room. In a few weeks, I want to move my Lakshmi to this temple room. How do I do that? Do I need to somehow remove life and reestablish it? Her new altar is only about 30 feet from her current one. Can you please help advise ? Thank you so very much ! Swamiji's response : Yes, that is exactly the process. In The Shiva Advanced Book at the end of the homa, you will find Visarjana Mantras. Recite those mantras, and with Kshamasya, pick up a flower from in front of the deity and hold it to your heart. You have just removed the energy from the deity and put it into your heart, from where you can establish it again after you move her to her new location. Latha adds in : There is a movie clip of the Visarjana mudra in the Files section, if anyone is interested.
