Swamiji suggests ... On Topic of the Week

Namaste All,

 

I spoke with Swamiji today and he gently suggested suggested some

ways to improve our group interaction .

 

He is very happy that we are discussing a topic a week and

recommended we extend it to 2 weeks. He suggested , like some of you

are already doing, to pick phrases/lines from any spiritual book of

our choice that called out to us in terms of the topic and share why

the lines were meaningful or relevant in our lives .

 

So it is not simply picking out the phrases that I had originally

suggested, but also giving our understanding of how we are

personally benefitted by those words.

 

JAI MAA !!! and lets keep the discussion on Faith going until the

end of this month.

that makes good sense.

 

here is something from the book of my own life.

 

faith i learned, is not blind. it is the opposite of blind. it is

not distrustful; neither is it naive or unintelligent.

 

faith is going to the core of yourself. so, if your faith is taking

you away from yourself, there might be something wrong.

 

faith is like going home, but it is not merely comfort. it is going

to a home that is infinitely far away.

 

faith is not simply doing what someone tells you to do. faith is

going beyond. faith is doing what you most want to do, even if it is

very difficult.

 

faith does not require you to divide yourself, it requires you to

unify yourself.

 

faith is who you are, it is not other than who you are.

 

faith is refined, strengthened, and adjusted, over and over. it is

not indoctrination or programming; it is awareness, intelligence,

and the ability to question everything, even the act of questioning

itself.

 

faith is going beyond mind, without sacrificing common sense.
