Guest guest
Dear Beloved Sangha, Glad we got another week to discuss Shraddha, Faith. If I say it in Sanskrit, it actually means more to me! I happened to be reading some of the wirtings of The Mother, from the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and here is something that stayed with me: "An absolute faith and trust in the Grace is, in the last analysis, the Supreme Wisdom." "At evey moment all the unforeseen, the unexpected, the unknown is before us--and what happens to us depends mostly on the intensity and purity of our faith." I had one of those days yesterday when everything was bothering me-- I felt all twisted up inside. I won't describe the circumstances-- too complicated and my reactions to all the goings-on were not pretty! Anyway, in our Chandi class on Saturday Jayadeva had said if we remember Her in times of difficulty and realize that She is trying to show us something and it's ALL HER, then our difficulty is removed right away. I heard that, and had heard it before but I don't know if I had ever tested it. So, I tried to remember Her, reciting my mantra, thinking of how she was trying to show me something that I needed to address. I tried to identify only with the Witness. This went on for several hours, then a voice came into my head and told me exactly what to do, or in my case, what not to do and--boom--total release. I came back into the fullness of my being and was able to see, with clarity, the whole situation and the role I was playing in it. It simply stopped. I had to have Faith in Divine Grace and Trust in the outcome. Everything is perfect. May you all find peace and light and love and joy toay and always! Love, Lynne
Guest guest
" The intrinsic nature of faith for those who wear bodies is of three kinds: of light, desire or darkness." Bg Gita 17:2" I think this is like Swamiji tell us in the book: Sahib Sadhu, The White Sadhu, p.109: "The Gods get their powers from drinking the nectar of devotion, the rishis get their powers from performing tapasya and the ashuras get their power from wearing stones or amulets" Jaya Maa! Jaya Swamiji! With love kalachandra --- Latha Nanda <lathananda escreveu: Namaste All, I spoke with Swamiji today and he gently suggested suggested some ways to improve our group interaction . He is very happy that we are discussing a topic a week and recommended we extend it to 2 weeks. He suggested , like some of you are already doing, to pick phrases/lines from any spiritual book of our choice that called out to us in terms of the topic and share why the lines were meaningful or relevant in our lives . So it is not simply picking out the phrases that I had originally suggested, but also giving our understanding of how we are personally benefitted by those words. JAI MAA !!! and lets keep the discussion on Faith going until the end of this month.
