We use dried tulsi stems for homa. Is it ok? JAI DURGE. Swamiji's response : It is ok, but too thin. It will burn in an instant! You can use as an incense, but not as a yajna wood. Question from Sankar Viswanathan : Here in Kolkata we get mostly Vilva(Bel) and Mango wood. Are these O.K? Swamiji's response : Yes. Excellent! Ganesha requests : Can you please give the name of the trees in English or Latin.
