Guest guest
In the book titled "Chandi Path: Study of Chapter Two" Page 4 it states: "Remember in Chapter One when we describe the manifestations of the Goddess. She gave us the boon that whenever devotees praise Her with pure devotion. She will make Herself manifest." Question: Which verses of the Chandi Path Chapter One is this referring to? Guest guest
Namaste Jose, Thank you for raising such good questions. Here is my understanding and we will certainly ask Swamiji as well. In verses 65 and 66 of the Chandi , the sage Medhas Muni says "Notwithstanding that She is eternal and unborn , nevertheless when divine ones perform actions for the attainment of this cause , She becomes manifest in the world." And so Brahma , inorder to wake up Vishnu to slay the demons 'Too Much' and 'Too Little' , sings the praise to the Goddess - Verses 72 to 87. We know from verses 89 and 90 that the Goddess was pleased with the song from the pious worshipper manifests in the world. Guest guest
Dear Shri Latha: Thank you for answering my question. I guess one can interpret and view Verses 65 - 66 and the praises of Brahma (Brahmastuti) as a boon from the Blessed Mother. I was a "little thrown off" since in later chapters She specifically gives the boon "that whenever devotees praise Her with pure devotion. She will make Herself manifest whoever calls upon Her." Thank you again.
