As you have correctly noted, we have to do the Navarna Vidhih before and after the 700 verses. But for the purposes of our sankalpa, we are just learning each chapter according to the Seedha Path. And since we have already covered this for a week, a few months ago, we have omitted learning this again and going onto RgVedoktam Devi Suktam this week.
