Dear folks,

Again, according to John Grimes' Dictionary..Pitha-seat;

throne;chair Can refer to the center of a lineage or tradition and,

also the person who sits on the seat at that center....in indicates

a physical location. In fact the little enclosures that you see

sometimes in rural India are called Pithas (Pitha, with dot under

the t). You probably have hear the expression, "shakti-pitha",

meaning a specific site in India where the Devi is known to be

particularly available.
