Guest guest
Namaste to all on the cyber satsangha, The retreat sounds like a great opportunity to concentrate our minds and hearts on the divine as much as possible. Reminds me of one of Ramprasad's songs that Shree Maa sings called Bhaavile Bhaaver Uudoya hoy. It means "the substance of your thoughts becomes the reality." The more we can cloister the senses the more we can go inside. The retreat will give such an opportunity for deeper contemplation. There is a very nice verse from the Rig Veda which is located in the beginning of the Hanuman Puja. Here are a few lines extracted: Let all assemble together. Let all speak together. Let all minds be in harmony. The Shining Ones of ancient times all proceeded by this worship. Let our hearts be shared. Let all thoughts, all minds be united so that all may enjoy peace and contentment.
Guest guest
very beautiful, parvati. this makes me also think of brian's question. what is creativity and what is perception/intuition? as so often, we think of them isolated. but, what we perceive we are also complicit in creating. "the substance of your thoughts becomes the reality." this dialogue between perception and creation seems to reside very near the heart of this path. we "see" and there something is, in its form. but "how" we see affects, if not initially the external shell- shape-dimensions of the thing, then at least its inner pulse. om. there is a unity in hearts engaging this together. well said, parvati. steve , "parv108" <parv108> wrote: > Namaste to all on the cyber satsangha, > The retreat sounds like a great opportunity to concentrate our > minds and hearts on the divine as much as possible. Guest guest
Dear Latha and List, First, thank you so much, Steve, for thinking of this. I am really happy to be able to participate. I am not sure whether I will be able to do the evening satsangs, as I am in Boston area and will be getting up at 4:30 EST...will there be a file of the satsangs???? the most wonderful aspect of this retreat is that it is done with the blessings of Shree Maa and Swamiji! Just last night at Pradosham I got the date that my Narmadeswar Lingam will have pranapratistha ...August 30th (the day after Raksha Bandan). What is so incredible is that i will be spending the week before this puja in silent retreat with all of you!!! What could be a better preparation? Thanks again for this opportunity. I have done ashram retreats many times and remember so well the intense joy that comes with being fully immersed in practices....it is a wonderful thing to think about that same atmosphere being created in my own puja room. Who would have imagined when I resisted getting a computer (like many "aging hippies") that it could be used in this way!! Jaya Maa! best regards to all, sadhvi
