Guest guest
Question from Karen: On the title page of Chandi Path, it says that it is also known as The Devi Mahatmyam and The Durga Saptasati. Is there a reason why there are 3 names for the same scripture? Would there be any difference in the contents in a book with one of the other names? Thank you ! Latha adds in :- I found in some versions , the Kavach having a few extra lines for example, is this merely a difference in versions of the Chandi, or because of a difference between Devi Mahatmyam vs Durga Saptasati vs Chandi. Thank you. Swamiji's response : The scripture became known by different names in different regions. It is the same scripture. The versions differ, and I am just sending a book to print about the reason for the different versions. Latha adds in :- The reasons for the different versions are explained in Swamiji's latest book "Pronunciation and the Chandi Samputs"
