Guest guest
Dear Brian ~ I couldn't agree with you more. I grew up in a very abusive household, and part of my path has been dealing with the "bad" thoughts this gave me and sometimes I still have them. Meditation provides a solution much like your own, just let them come and go ... wave to them. My ongoing process was to make friends with my "bad" thoughts, not to be scared of them, to accept them. Many of them changed and became my friends. In the Chandi I read that when Durga killed the bad thoughts they went to heaven ... in the end it is all a matter of acceptance and perspective. Guest guest
Exactly. Negative thoughts and feelings are impressions on the mind that have been dredged up by the goddess. (so all those people who bug you, are doing the goddess' work) If we weren't attached to the negative thoughts, they wouldn't be there. One of the most powerful realizations I made is simply that I cannot separate one thought from another and label one as bad and the other as good. Doing so is fragmenting my mind and creating inner conflict, its also an egotistical attachment to an identity (the identity that is labeling the thoughts as good or bad). Consciousness never divides things, she always unifies things. Consciousness accepts everything for what it is. She makes no judgement and she knows that its all just another form of her. In our quest for identifying with consciousness (so called realization) we simply have to allow ourselves to emulate her as best as we can. She will continue to teach us, and as we learn to accept she will hack off from our minds the unhealthy thoughts we willingly surrender to her and bring them into her heart, thus unifying them in heaven. She who tears apart thought could also be called, she who unifies all. I sense your journey is a wonderful one. Mother loves when we turn negative circumstance into positive lessons and wisdom. In reality its one of her favorite things. And as we move away from Kali Yugah, as people become more aware of Kali and she has problems hiding even in gold, she will chuckle and reveal herself to more and more people. And once you see her, feel her, know her for the first time ... Well, its like Nandu told me: experiencing goddess for the first time is like eating a Kit Kat bar for the first time. Once you taste it, you can recall its texture and the smooth somewhat bitter chocolatey taste at will. Then life is never the same, your service to her is set, and you will find it difficult to identify with anything not directly related to her for very long. Jai Maa! Jai Krishna! Jai Kali! Jai Durga!
