Guest guest
Namaste, I just recieved my Vishnu Puja book. How wonderful! Glancing over it, most of it seems familliar even though its been years since I've done puja. A couple of questions come to mind...I seem to remember in other pujas that after I drew the yantra with sandle paste I was instructed to place a pot of water on top of it. I don't see that in the Vishnu puja. Also what is "arghya?" Thanks for help! Neil
Guest guest
Namaste Neil, Glad you are enjoying the Vishnu Puja. Here is the answer on 'Arghya' - it is a special offering to the Goddess - like a corsage of sorts, given with the best ingredients. Please check out http://www.shreemaa.org/faq.htm - question number 19 "What does one offer as Arghya. " for more information. I dont have my copy of Vishnu Puja with me right now so I will get back on the water pot question in a coupla days. JAI MAA !
