Guest guest
Question from Kanna Krishnan: Just curious to know ,in puja viddhi there is purification of water in kosha kushi and also conch shell offering . The methodology is the same for both processes, however the additional mantra used in conchshell offering is "ete gandha puspe hung"What is the relevancy of this mantra in conch shell offering and is there a relationship with the mantra of "hum" in Chandi Path ? Swamiji's response : Hum is called astra mantra, because it is the weapon for cutting down the ego. It is the mantra that makes this arghya vishesha. An arghya is an offering depicting our devotion, and this one is special because it is blessed with the special-ness of containing the weapon that cuts down the ego.
