Karen & Mike,

There's a CD by Craig Pruess called Sacred Chants of Devi which has

the 108 names. The CD is quite good. You can probably get it by

mail order from the Bodhi Tree bookstore in West Hollywood or through

Amazon. Here is a link for more info:

Hi, James, thanks for providing this link. I looked it up and found

that it has the Lalitha Ashotram which it says is the 108 names of

Mother Divine, which I think (could be wrong) is different from the

108 names of the goddess Lakshmi. I have a CD called Sri Lalitha

Sahasranamam, 1000 Names of the Divine Mother, and the names do not

match the ones in Swamiji's Laksmi Puja and Thousand Names. So--I

am thinking that there must be a difference between the names for

Lakshmi and the ones for Divine Mother. Please let me know what you

(and anyone reading) thinks about this. Thanks - Karen

Jai Ma!

Yes, the 1000 or 108 names of Lalita Devi are different from the 1000 or 108

names of Lakshmi Devi. Hundreds of different forms of Divinity have their own

sets of 1000 and 108 names...that's a lot of names for the Supreme! Anyway, I

found a few CDs online that have the Lakshmi Ashtottara Stotram. What this

means is that the 108 names are repeated in verse form, as a stotram. The other

way is with each name as part of a mantra, listed separately. One of the links

is for a CD that just lists "Lakshmi Ashtottara", so I don't know what form

that is. I actually don't have personal experience with these recordings or

websites, I just found them through searching.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks, Ekta, for this information. It perfectly anwers my question

about the names for Lakshmi. I can't tell you how happy I am to

have this question about the names clearly answered! I know the

Matchless Gifts website. It's a good one. I just received the

Monier-Williams Sanskrit Dictionary CD from them, and I am very

pleased with it. Their prices are great, and even though the items

come all the way from India, the shipping is quick. I plan to order

the two CDs that you listed right away. The other website looks

very interesting and I have saved it. Prices are higher on that

website so I will wait to see if the Matchess Gift CDs are

sufficient for my needs. Again, thank you! Blessings - Karen
