Guest guest
Things are going well as I prepare for our retreat. House is clean and organized from kitchen to living room to bedrooms and bath. Carpets will be professionally cleaned on Tuesday. I couldn't get anyone to come before then. : ( ALL clothes are washed and put away. Bills are paid. Daughter came up yesterday so we could have some time together before the retreat starts. We had a lovely time. And for once, I think she understands why I welcome the opportunity to do retreat and feels that it is a good thing (at least for me!). Mother (age 89) called to give me her blessings as I go into retreat. She sounded truly joyful for me. She said that she will not call during the retreat period or expect calls from me. She will also tell other relatives to not call. I am grateful to my family for being able to let me go. I have rearranged my work schedule. I will work on Sunday to do most of Monday's work. I will work the following Saturday to finish anything I was not able to do during the week. At this point, I plan to only work an hour or two on Monday, Wednesday and Friday instead of my usual 23-25 hrs/wk. If possible, I will work even less. As my preparations are coming together, I can feel my excitement growing. I feel so blessed to be at this point in my life with the guidance of my gurus and the company of our satsang. Guest guest
ardis that sounds really good. i do not think i am nearly so prepared. but i am working today on re- organizing the space and some bills, and looking at the daily schedules, so i can participate as fully as possible. anybody else find anything of interest to report on their prep? maybe the interior prep is the most important, as we begin to contain our energies. steve , Ardis Jackson <anandamama@e...> wrote: > Things are going well as I prepare for our retreat. > > House is clean and organized from kitchen to living room to bedrooms and > bath.
