Guest guest
Dear everyone, Please excuse the email I sent with nothing in it; 'twas an accident. No words about words. : ) One of the things that came to my mind in reading what different people had to say about Swamiji's short responses to questions is that, yes, he gives the kernel, the seed, and it is up to us to grow it within our own understanding. On the other hand I thought about how busy Swami is being involved with words (this is not to be taken as negative). He and Shree Maa are chanting, doing the Chandi, etc. a great part of their time. This is involvement with words, but words that are "keys." Also Swamiji, for our benefit, is being very involved with words, translating sacred works from Sanskrit to English and writing about these works so we may have more understanding of them. That is a lot of involvement with words. Perhaps it is not the involvement with words or seeming lack of words in answers to questions, but the question what are the words with which Swamiji (and we for that matter) are involved; what is their essence; how can we go beyond the finger pointing at the moon. (However, the finger is very useful.) Words can be used to harm or heal, to tear down or to build up. I grew up in a family where words were weapons to harm and tear down. Swami and Shree Maa use words to heal, to whole, to edify, and to lift us up. Shanti ~ Linda
