Guest guest
Dear All, The next fortnight is here and our new topic for this fortnight is Perseverance. What is the value of perseverance in regard to everyday and spiritual activities ? When does one know that it is worthwhile to keep on and not stop ? What do the scriptures and saints say on this topic ? What has been our experiences when we have persevered and seen a job through no matter what ? Let us share ... Let us put our thinking caps on and discuss this through the next few days. JAI MAA ! Latha
Guest guest
it is said that will power alone is not enough. blessings blessing blessings. u will be drawn into THAT. dear friends. i have gone thru this. many years of persistence. i am glad i did it. but i see the error of relying on it. the goddess sends many experiences. we respond in some way. we hold to the truth. but we talked about this; truth is not defined in the way relative things are. your greatness lies in your ability to see all things at all levels. a person could have great will and discipline and still miss god. u love god, or want to have truth or real happiness. whatever we call it, we will be drawn into it because we love it, steadily moving closer and closer and deepening over time. then life will throw something new. this is the order of the universe. we adapt and bring on new means to acquire our sadhana. all the while we are learning, what we are here to learn. and that is, how to love all; God is the goal, and God is the action. it takes many, many forms. s , "Frederica Evangeline Wilder" <effie_wilder@e...> wrote: > Dear List, > > Perseverance doesn't exist. Guest guest
Namaste All, Following is a poem by Mahadeviyakka 12th century Virasaiva Saint. At ten, she was initiated to Siva-worship by an unknown guru. If He says He has to go away to fight battles at the front I understand and can be quiet. But how can I bear it when He is here in my hands right here in my heart and will not take me? O mind, O memory of pasts, if you will not help me get to Him how can I ever bear it? Remaining constant, in spite of obstacles is the inner dialog I see here, and then benign grace. Om Namah Sivaya Kanda
