Question for Swamiji -- Mala Beads and some other Externals

Swamiji,

 

I notice in pictures of Shree Maa and yourself, on the back of the

Chadni Path, the nice mala beads you are both wearing.

 

We see their usefulness in a householder life, as one

can participate in the various activities, but work at restraining

mind at the same time, without the burden on the family of secluding

in asan, etc.

 

We can find a 108 rudrushka bead from a local book store. Are your

mala beads larger and wider spaced? Is this for easier counting? Do

you have on more than one at a time? Is this for adornment or

practice?

The ash on your forehead? Is is Vibhuti? When do you put it on? Can

we get it or use something similar in the States?
