Namaste-

I heard that Thich Naht Than (sp?) the Vietnamese Monk said when asked about

the coming of the next Buddha...

"The next Buddha will be the sangha"

Hari Om!

Third-tier Satsang

Namaste ALL,

Satsang: Spiritual Fellowship. Satsang means keeping company with

fellow devotees. The mutual support of others with similar

interests, especially those further along the path, can be a

continual source of inspiration. Seeking out the company of a God-

intoxicated mystic is the best form of satsang short of the ecstatic

experience of God's presence itself. Reading about gods and saints

and keeping their pictures around is a second-tier form of satsang.

Namaste,

Karen

PS After reading this, I thought our cyber group might be

considered third-tier satsang. :)

Yes, I believe that is true. There are sanghas of devotees here and

there, but a sangha of people discipined in tapas is really

something special. That is the type of sangha that my soul years to

partake of.
