Namaste ALL esp Linda,

You asked about the book by Linda Johnsen that contained the

information on satsang. It's The Complete Idiot's Guide to Hinduism.

She also wrote Daughters of the Goddess: The Women Saints of India.

Shree Maa is on the cover of that book and there is a great section

about Maa. Other Johnsen (it's with a "e") books include The Living

Goddess: Reclaiming the Tradition of the Mother of the Universe, and

Meditation is Boring? Putting Life in Your Spiritual Practice. I

mention these titles because they all have strong references to Maa.

I love what you wrote (well, ok, I love all that you write!)...this is great...

We come together to share our questions, experiences, goofs and gaffs,

and heartfelt experiences, and we are responded to with Love. ---Linda

I am still thinking about satsanga. That's the same as satsang, right?

Dear Karen,

Yes, the two are the same, and I do believe there must be levels,

because I do believe that this group is a satsang. We come together

to share our questions, experiences, goofs and gaffs, and heartfelt

experiences, and we are responded to with Love. Another level of

satsang would add singing bhajans perhaps as well as doing some puja

or arati. Another level would be a group meeting on a regular basis

in real time for these purposes. I don't know about other levels,

except that when we have the chance to be with Swami and Shree Maa,

and as Shree Maa said, "Do you want Samadhi or Sing and Dance?" A

voice in the back called out, "Why not both?" Indeed That too is

satsang. I am curious about the Linda Johnson book. Could you share

the title. Blessings, Jai Maa ~ Linda
