Dear Steve,

Your poem is wonderful! And it responds so well to the whole issue of

"evil." I was chanting the 108 Names of Durga the other night and was

surprised, yet not surprised, to see one of Her names is Ego. In

another place, She is referred to as the "form of confusion." So I

think it is, as you say, all God. Jai Maa ~ Linda

walking up the stairs;the stairs are god.

The first thought I had is, "I didn't know Linda is sick."What does it mean that I thought that?

That makes two of us. : ) I didn't know you were sick either. I

have tried not to make too much of this in the group because, like

you, I want my illness to another form of education from Maa. Of

course, if it went away, which it won't, I'd like that too. Blessings

to you and all peace in the face of the intensities of life ~ Linda

P.S. There are several places in the Chandi where this intensity of

life is mentioned. When I first read it, I thought, oh, goodness,

somebody smarter than me has recognized that life is intense! I liked

the phrase so much I incorporated it into one of my songs.
