Guest guest
That which takes away the mind is the mantra. The practice of nama japa is one of the "easiest" practices - it can be done at any time - waiting for an appointment, driving , jogging , ... you name it ... but best of all , this can be done when we are most worried or stressed. Indeed, it is when we find ourselves most stressed and go into a mental whirl on the coulda-shoulda-wouldas that this practice of Nama japa is very helpful. It helped me today. I was stressed at work meeting deadlines and being burdened with other issues ,... I said "STOP" why not just chant Ganesh's mantra ... and felt so much better. Next time I have a few moments to spare, instead of letting my mind spin I will chant a mantra. The mantra of this week, in case y'all dont know - Om Gam Ganapataye namah Lets continually make a japa of this mantra all this week ... let us face all the asuras with Ganesh's protection.
