Many thanks ~ Linda Dear Linda, Fall Navaratri begins on Oct 14th year - Nava - 9 , Ratri - nights . The tenth day is Vijaydasami - or the day of victory, all the asuras destroyed. How can we prepare for it ? Here are some suggestions and I look to others to add in as well 1) By taking steps to learn Durga Puja that we can perform during the nine days. 2) By chanting the Chandi - a chapter or two each day. 3) By chanting any of the mantras of the Goddess - Om Aim Hrim Klim Chamundaye Vicce , or , Om Hrim Shrim Dum Durgayai Namah, or any of the mantras given by our Gurus. It will be wonderful if people can come forward with any questions that they may have on Durga Puja. We hope , that as always we as a group can participate in several group sankalpas during Navaratri. Details to be announced shortly.
