Guest guest
Namaste All, Here are two ways that add a great deal of cheer to the chanting - or so I have found. I adopted these ideas after watching many disciples do so at the Mandir. 1) Use a bell . When nearing the end of a chapter, add momentum and tempo with ringing a bell. For me, this spurs me on ... like cheering the Goddess on to kill the demon. Almost like sound effects in a movie and feels just great. 2) Scream "CHANDI MAA KI JAI" (Victory to Mother Chandi) at the end of every chapter. After all, the Goddess has just vanquished one of those nasty ol demons , so acknowledge it by rousing three cheers. These two techniques are especially handy when chanting alone ... especially when if we feel our interest flagging. Nothing like the bell of continuous and hearty cheer to Maa to keep us on track. Can anyone else share any tips on keeping their chanting focussed. Jai Maa Latha
Guest guest
hmm ... i don't do enough chanting to be a real big help ... but here is what i've experienced ... the little bell or any size bell is cool. i don't know why. really gets you into the spirit for some reason. i like to dance around or sway, too. sometimes i mumble and am real quiet and other times i am a little louder. i don't think there is a wrong way, we want to get the inner spirit of goodness moving, is all. smiling helps, anything that lets all of your manifestation be alive in positive divinity. , "Latha Nanda" <lathananda> wrote: > Namaste All, > > Here are two ways that add a great deal of cheer to the chanting - > or so I have found. Sometimes for chanting my bell ringing continues until all is clear, within and without. Om Namah Sivaya. With Love, Kanda
