Guest guest
Question from Ruchi: What happens when you do not perform Visarjana. Here's the reason why I am asking. Several years ago I was drawn to worship Maa Durga in a small silver idol I had. It was most amazing experience.I could very strongly feel mother manifest in that idol. Of course I was unaware of sadhana or paractices at that time so I only worshipped when I was moved to do so and gradually I kind of lost that connection.I still have this idol on my altar, along with another picture of Maa Durga. Before last Navratri, I had a dream in which I saw that my altar was all cleaned and arranged for the puja, but that small silver idol was removed. Since then I am wondering if I should do a visarjana of that idol. I have sat on that dream for months because I do not want to let go. I do not have the clarity of really understanding the significance of my dreams. Please let me know what do you all think. Swamiji's response : We make visarjana to a physical presence. If we want to remove it from our minds, then we fill our minds with a new image.
