Guest guest
Dear all, Talking this over with a dear friend and wanted to share with the group. Why do they call God compassionate ,when She/He finds every opportunity to make us dance ? What are your thoughts ? It would be great if you can share them with the group. Guest guest
Latha, Actually, I think that though God provides the steps, we arrive with our own music. Guest guest
this is a very profound question. someone with courage has to ask it. th reason we call god compassionate is to enter the infinite zone. we enter into infinity easier through compassion. it is how we creatures were made. god actually comprises all qualities, life as well as death, bliss, pain, etc. from disunity to unity is the path. to unite with compassion hastens the process. not only that, life is enabled. , "Latha Nanda" <lathananda> wrote: > > > Dear all, > > Talking this over with a dear friend and wanted to share with the > group. > > Why do they call God compassionate ,when She/He finds every > opportunity to make us dance ? > > What are your thoughts ? Guest guest
Hari OM What ever we want Mother will give it to us - even when She knows it is wrong for us - when we cry for something She gives it freely pain and all - we sit on the earth alone and afraid because we asked to come here - to experience the material plane ( the land of the solid )- to play in the land of Kama we turned our backs on Her and Divinity - we came here and forgot Her - Now all we have to do is throw ourselves at Her Feet of Grace and hold tight - Mother will always show compassion to Her children - To but touch Shree Maa's feet in our mind will destroy fear and doubt - Kali walked the earth as Sarada Devi and again as Shree Maa because She Loves us. God walked the earth as Shirdi Sai, Baba Loknath, Ramakrishna, Ramana Maharshi, Ganapati Muni, Neem Karoli Baba, Nityananda, Ananadmayi Maa, Adi Shankara and on and on She returns to guide us home - Jai Maa Jai Maa Jai Maa The Grace of the Holy Mother shines on all creation My Beloved Family She walks with us in the form of Shree Maa What more proof do we need that we are blessed Jai Maa Love janaardana , "Latha Nanda" <lathananda> wrote: > > > Dear all, > > Talking this over with a dear friend and wanted to share with the > group. > > Why do they call God compassionate ,when She/He finds every > opportunity to make us dance ? > > What are your thoughts ? Guest guest
Dear All, Thank you for responding to this question and I look forward to input from more people. I remember reading this somewhere - that God is like a mailman in a way - the contents of the mail may be pleasing to some and painful to others. The pain and pleasure are not from God but caused due to our own past actions. I like what Kalachandra said - as long as we are mired in worldliness we are bound by our Karma and God watches us dance to the tune of pain and pleasure . But the minute we turn to him, he is there for us. And he is compassionate because we make the mistakes again and again but he never fails to show up when we call out to him sincerely that all we need is his love. This is another something I read - I may right a thousand times and wrong once , but a human will not forgive me. I may err a thousand times but just call out to God just once wholeheartedly , and I am forgiven ... Some of the greatest "sinners" were transformed because they called out just once to him. Just once ... and never mind all the mistakes that we have made ... Now if that is not compassion ... then what is ? Jai Maa Latha
Guest guest
yes! and this too latha ... the gods, they have all the good things ... but this one thing they missed: they do not have pain, and the weaknesses we have ... so they do not have the fire to walk thru ... we can pass through this identification with pleasure ... they have almost limitless pleasure ... we experience [and now, perhaps suffer] the "dance" and therefore have, according to Sankara and others, the opportunity to remain aloof as the witness. , "Latha Nanda" <lathananda> wrote: > > > Dear All, > Thank you for responding to this question and I look forward to input > from more people. > > I remember reading this somewhere - that God is like a mailman in a > way - the contents of the mail may be pleasing to some and painful to > others. Guest guest
It just might be that all movement in the universe is but the dance of Shiva, and perhaps he wants us to join in with him. The compasionate are more likely to encounter the same. It is a deific attribute. We would do well to invoke it within ourselves even as we install mantras into our bodies. We can make of ourselves embodiments of divine qualities in tune with the cosmic body of the universe. In such a way compassion can become our realm of being. If we fail in our compassion to life all around us, we have failed in our reflection of Nataraj. Look at them and we see ourselves. Look at us and we see them. All is woven of one fabric, so serve, help them, and do not harm them, for they are our very selves. Ahimsa and compassion are a tight weave which can heal the world. To fail in this is to fail our lineage. Compassion is the dance of Shiva, so who among you will join in with him? , "Latha Nanda" <lathananda> wrote: > Why do they call God compassionate ,when She/He finds every > opportunity to make us dance ? > > What are your thoughts ?
