Guest guest
Swamiji, When we do kara nyaasa we place the mantra in the fingertips. On the surface this does not seem to make much sense beyond, perhaps, purifying the hands. The effect of performing kara nyaasa, however, extends beyond the hands. So my question is, why the finger tips? Chris
Guest guest
OM NAMAH SHIVAYA Dear Chris: If I can answer the question as to why the fingertip: Located at the fingertip is the fingerprint and within this a swirl in the center of this swirl it is understood to be located a chakra which is a energy point. It is this energy point that is activated when the Sanskrit syllable of the mantra is placed.
