Guest guest
I was looking at the bhagavatiistutih and thought about Kalachandra's question about why She is said to shine like the autumn moon. I think I have an answer... It struck me that in this verse the author is describing Divine Mother as the dawn. Her shining necklace could be the brilliant light that seems to gather at the horizon before the sun rises. Her earrings studded with fine jewels could be the last stars of the night sky. Her arms of excellent blue could refer to the lightening sky. The bottoms of her feet, described as red like a lotus, could be the eminent dawn turning the horizon red. If this is the author's intent (I think it likely is) then "She who shines like the autumn moon" likely refers to the particular quality of the light before the sun rises, like that of the autumn moon.
