Guest guest
Dear Bingo/Chris and all, Here is what is happening this Mandir this Navaratri (AFAIK) Morning Arati at 5 pm Bhajans led by Parvati - you HAVE to hear the song "Jago Tumi Jago" . Hope the Mandir can cut a CD with that song sometime. Shubalananda if you are reading this - I know why you are so hooked on Kirtans. One song sung with feeling and devotion is ......(each person can fill in the blanks as appropriate) Back to our schedule. After Bhajan, there is a chanting from the Chandi. Yesterday we recited the entire book, but usually it is passages from the book. And oh, Swamiji is chanting ...God knows how many rounds of Chandi and other texts.. Sufficient to say that when one sees him, he is chanting or between short breaks of different recitations. JAI SWAMIJI ! JAI SHREE MAA ! Love to all Latha , "Chris Kirner" <chriskirner1956> wrote: > > > Steve, > > Last year Parvati gave us updates on what all the doings were at the > mandir -- esp. what Maa and Swamiji were up to....HINT!....HINT! > > Yes, it's kind'a lonely online lately.... > > Chris > > > , "Steve Connor" <sconnor@a...> wrote: > > > > > > much sadhana and celebration i am sure. > > > > here at home we are working away. > > > > nobody knows what navaratri is. > > > > om shalom! meditate a little longer, > > > > OM a little stronger ... > > > > please finish this navaratri business soon and return to your online > > devs! > > > > we miss you, we are too young, to be certain, will mother ever come > > back from the store? > > > > navaratri, it's in here, along with the mother. Guest guest
Latha Are there more people than usual there at this time? More talking or less talking? Does Swamiji use a book or by heart? Do people dress up for Navaratri or is it very subdued? How is Shree Maa doing? Is anyone doing deep meditation? steve , "Latha Nanda" <lathananda> wrote: > > > Dear Bingo/Chris and all, > > Here is what is happening this Mandir this Navaratri (AFAIK) > > Morning Arati at 5 pm > Bhajans led by Parvati - you HAVE to hear the song "Jago Tumi > Jago" . Guest guest
Namaste Steve, IMHO, there is no difference in the external activities at the Mandir except for the additional group bhajan/chanting in the mornings.
