Guest guest
Hi, It is Navaratri, and I am sitting here at the computer trying to be inspired. Maa is singing in the backround...Dark Night Mother is playing. I think it's in English, but I can't always be sure (I'm sure you know what I mean). These past years, I have not been one to sing very often, but on that occasion when I feel the need for that inspiration, the songs on Dark Night Mother seem a good choice. It is difficult, though, when entire passages are so difficult to make out. Like anyone, I make up my own words to fit, but they generally don't seem to make very much sense. Now, to my request: Somewhere at the mandir, there must be a copy of the lyrics on disk. Could someone find it, and post it in the files section hear, on the forum. I'm sure I'm not alone in my desire to fully understand (and sing along with) Mother's only English recording. Chris
Guest guest
Sweet Chris, I had the same difficulty with understanding all the lyrics. Yes, they are all in English with Mother's beautiful accent. I persisted with trying to get accurate lyrics. Finallly a devotee named Kamala helped me out. It is amazing... once you see them in writing, they all become clear. I am at work now. When I get home I will e-mail you the lyrics. Ever since Mother's Day, I have been trying to get the transliteration and translation for Satyam, Shivam, Sundaram. No luck so far. I'll keep on asking. Guest guest
When I listen to the song, there seems to be different endings with each line. That was what I was trying to find out. Thanks, though. Ardis
