Guest guest
Swamiji, I hope I can express this properly.... During Navaratri I have broken the Chandi into three equal parts, chanting one part each day to make a complete recitation on the third day. This is about at my capacity (I had frankly expected it to be better). I find I am not enjoying the chanting very much. It seems to be a struggle. My voice gets raspy, and by back cramps up, esp. around anahata, and there is the feeling of frustration that accompanies that, the desire to just get it over with. I have had this experience before, with other mantras chanted aloud, and it dissappears over time. It is as if I finally am accepted by the shakti, and afterwards the voice steadies and doesn't tire, and the flow of energy becomes pleasant and responds easily to the pitch of the voice, clearing blockages almost effortlessly. Interestingly, the Siddha Kunjika Stotram came out the first time as though I had been chanting it for ages, and even at the end of a practice, when I am all cramped and frustrated and my voice seems barely to work, and the words seem to run all together, it all begins to clear when I begin the Siddha Kunjika Stotrum. Well, my question is, is there anything I can do to help this process along? Is it possibly the purpose of the Shappodhara and Utkilana mantras to "introduce" one to the Chandi mantra shakti(s)?
