Guest guest
BENEFITS OF MEDITATION Meditation gives spiritual strength, peace, new vigor and vitality. It is the finest of all mental tonics. The divine energy flows freely from the Lord to the different systems of the aspirant. The holy vibrations penetrate the cells of the body and cure diseases. The powerful, soothing waves that arise during meditation exercise a benign influence on the mind, nerves, organs and cells of the body. Considerable changes take place. New nerve currents, new vibrations, new grooves, new cells and new channels are formed. The whole mind and the nervous system are remodeled. You will develop a new heart, a new mind, new sensations, new feelings, a new mode of thinking and acting, and a new view of the universe as God in manifestation. Meditation develops strong, pure thoughts. The mental images are clear-cut and well-defined. Through clarification of ideas, confusion vanishes. Meditation also helps a lot in checking various emotions and impulses. If you can regulate your emotions and moods, you will not do foolish and wrong actions. If you can meditate for half an hour, you will be able to engage yourself with peace and spiritual strength in the battle of life for one week through the force of this meditation. As you have to move with different minds in your daily life, get the strength and peace from meditation and you will have no trouble or worry. If you meditate regularly, you will experience peace, contentment, fearlessness, unruffled state of mind in worldly difficulties, inspiration, sattwic (pure, balanced) qualities and absence of anger, egoism, and likes and dislikes. Regular meditation opens the avenues of intuitive knowledge, makes the mind calm and steady, awakens an ecstatic feeling and brings the yogic student into contact with the Source. The fire of meditation annihilates all foulness due to vice. Then suddenly comes knowledge or divine wisdom, which directly leads to final emancipation. Develop the divine vision by purification, concentration and meditation. You will get the full bliss of the divine glory only when you merge deep into silent meditation.
