Do we keep our eyes open or closed while doing japa of the Goddess?

Because When we assume ourselves as the deity, it causes dissolution

of the universe, if she closes her eyes.

 

Swamiji's response :

Both are appropriate at different times. Sometimes you are Her and

there is no other. Sometimes you are Her, and you look out at all of

your creation.
