Saturday Guru Gita classes -- thank you

I want to thank Steve and Latha for the Saturday _Guru Gita_

classes. While I've not been able to attend online, I am reading the

posted class transcripts (in the "Files" section) and very much

appreciate them!

I am particularly grateful for Steve and Latha's short discussion of

Kripa/"To do and to get"; I was puzzled by this, and their

explanations helped.

For those who might not have read the class transcript, here's an

excerpt, edited for brevity (without, I hope, changing the meaning):

Steve: VERSE THREE [Guru Gita]

[....]

Steve: Swamiji equates GRACE with

Steve: krrpaa in his translation.

[....]

Latha: as much as we put in .... so much we get back

Steve: "Krpa ... to do and to get ...

[....]

Latha: not so much as 'what you sow you reap'

Latha: but the more I give off myself ... the more I get back

[....]

Latha: ie ... the more I give off my sense of 'I'

Latha: the more of 'Her' the guru comes back

Steve: that what is called Guru's Grace

Steve: what is called "grace" is dependent upon effort.

Thanks again!

Thank you Jana for taking the time to read through and appreciate

the transcripts. My thanks to dear Chris too for his valuable

comments that he emailed me and Steve.

Since it is Swamiji's express request that we discuss the Guru Gita

on the Saturday online discussions, and Maa's blessings

that "Reading the Guru Gita will increase the devotion" , it means a

lot to me (and to Steve and everyone too I am sure ) to be able to

attend these sessions. And I thank all those from our lovely satsang

that manage to set aside 1 hour on Saturdays and participate as

often as they can, and to those like you & Chris who take the time to read

through the transcripts and comment on the classes.

As mentioned in the transcript, it is Kri-pa. The more that we are

able to express our devotion, and find ways of expressing that

devotion , the more Maa and Swamiji are able to help us.

Thanks again, and may we all be blessed with pure devotion to the

Guru.

May we all fall in love !

Jai Maa

Latha
