means 9. 108- There are 54 letters of the Sanskrit alphabet. The

that can possibly come into evolution. There are 54 vibrations of

evolution and 54 vibrations of involution. This equals 108. 3 years-

In Chapter 13 of the Chandi verse 13 it says that the business man

Dear Parvati ~ thank you very much, but being the iquisitive mouse, I

still have two questions. Since you said that there could be 9 day

sankalpas every month, not necessarily focused on Durga, is there a

further significance to the number 9? From my (western, metaphysical)

perspective, 9 is the number of inner wisdom, but even more, it is the

number of one who goes within to find that true wisdom, then radiates

it out to all.

I also wonder about the number 1,000 because I have seen that come up

a lot. And what of 11? One of the sankalpas we were given for

Navaratri, which I did, and continue, is chanting the 32 names of

Durga 11 times. Why 11? Hope I am not being a bother, but this is

very interesting to me. Jai Maa ~ Linda
