Dear Ekta ~ It is good to hear from you again. I can imagine how busy you must have been getting ready for your trip. Your description of Diwali in India ~ wow! My friends who come over and see all the pictures I have taped to the wall, and my little kitchen counter altar (I live in a trailer, so there is really no private place for me to put my puja things); well, they smile, but they don't really understand. I wanted to send all my friends Diwali cards because I was so excited. It is as if, for the first time, I have really discovered Laksmi, and I LOVE Her! I loved what you said about Her. I cut it and pasted it so I could print it out. I am learning so much about Laksmi because it is Diwali, and I am so happy. One picture I have of her ... actually it is a picture of a small statuette ... she has very long dark hair, and in the front, by Her skirt, there is something that looks like an owl. Do you know anything of this? Does Laksmi have anything to do with owls? Thank you again Ekta. Happy Diwali. Blessings, Jai Maa ~ Linda
