Guest guest
Dear Shiva, Yes, one must always honor Divine Mother. While selflessness and humility are two of Her Divine Majesty's most auspicious qualities, we must not take Her for granted. Today Ammachi's quote of the day said, "As long as we live in this world, our greatest and foremost duty (or dharma) is to be of some benefit to others." I guess, to be an example, follow our path, and live the blessings Her lessons may be the best way to honor Her. What else could she want for us? When I begin worship I always try to say, "I love you, thank you." to all Ma's manifestations that have been teachers to me. To all my Gurus. To find that gratitude and connection to the moment the true good fortune of her blessingsand to me is how to best honor her. After all like you said it's not to make her our servant. Not to just use Her for our own self indulgence but rather live her love. Ram , Laksmyai <laksmyai> wrote: > "Too often rather than honoring Lakshmi we want to make her our servant. We want wealth, comfort, prestige, health and good fortune without taking the time to attune ourselves to the divine majesty from which these qualities emanate. We want the fruit but we're too busy indulging ourselves to plant the tree. From Devi Loka (the Goddess World), Lakshmi merely smiles." > > > > Om srim laksmyai namah > (Citation for quoted text is available.) > > > > > > >
