Yesterday I went to see a doctor in Las Cruces, a two hour drive both ways, and I was very sick by the time I got there. But I did get to go to a shopping mall (there are no shopping malls in Silver City, and no place to buy decent shoes). So I got two pairs of casual dress flats, brown and black ~ thank Laksmi ~ and they were on sale! Believe me, this is a big deal to me because my last pair of casual shoes had a hole in the side of one that was gettting bigger and bigger. I also got to wander around in Barnes and Nobles ~ oh, how wonderful. Unfortunately, they did not have the Linda Johnson book you told me about and said they could not get it, but I have already looked on Amazon.com and see that they do have it. They did have, however, her "Complete Idiot's Guide to Hinduism." I scanned through it; didn't buy it, but it will be on my Christmas wish list, along with her "The Living Goddess." I'm sorry to talk about something so mundane as shoes, but I have been very shoe deprived. : ) Perhaps Laksmi led me to the sale...the other place I looked the shoes were $79 dollars a pair, and I could never justify that.
