If we can truly recognize that every life event is what she desires for us, then we can begin to accept the blessings she is showering upon us and even recognize that they are truly blessings. Those who have nothing happen to them are cursed to stay stuck in their minds, trapped in a box with invisible walls never knowing the grace and beauty which lies just outside the ego. If it weren't for our suffering, for our pleasure and our pain, we might never look for something more than sensory feedback. Krishna's pageants are designed to awaken us. That is their function. They are truly and spectacularly beautiful! Have you ever seen the interplay of the energies while people are arguing? See how their minds struggle for power over each other, as if it were possible? Have you ever smiled at a child who is trying to get you do do what he wants? You don't resent him. You love him for exerting his will and learning and growing. Thus it is with everyone. And Maa loves us exactly the same way. We would do well to love each other that way. Instead of seeing hardships as negative see them for what they are and love them.
