Guest guest
realizing the degree of difficulties that the aspirant faces. a reality check. we are asking for everything here. there are karmic traces we do not even know the extent of. there are physical realities. there are issues at work we might understand, maybe not. there is the issue of tamas and all that. we are weighed down by many things. there are skewed teachings everywhere that promise a walk in the park. we are alive. some moments might be fluid and others might be painful. we look at all this and say: why? what? how? we are at least asking questions. as the questions improve so do the answers. there might not even be a why that is so obvious. sadhana is not necessarily to become a successful person. we are looking into the center of existence and seeking engagement with THAT. here is an odd metaphor. you are like a drunk person or drugged person coming out of a stupor. at times, you start feeling better. but there is nausea as well. "when will this drug wear off?" we ask. fatigue and many factors oppose our endeavor. the western arrangement of life activities itself is in opposition. we need to be very intelligent as well as devoted. swamiji recently mentioned a unity of heart and head. when there is divergence here, surely there is pain or some trouble on the way. if there is divergence of head and heart, resolving that can be sadhana. not pasting an answer on it, but asking the questions that are intuitively right, so we can be released into infinity again. i believe there can be a danger of hardening one's mind so that sadhana appears to be an external activity. no. only you and your guru know. that is why it is secret, it is eternal, it is sublime, even when it is a struggle. JAI MAA! victory to the mother that is your own heart. you can do it, you can do it. this i know.
