Guest guest
When I lived at the ashram in New York City there was a note on the wall hand-written by Swami Satchidananda. I really loved it then and still do. It fits so well with our day of chanting the Guru Gita I wanted to share it with you. Here it is as best as I can remember it [if anyone sees any errors that I have made and can correct them it's appreciated]... Guru Guru Japna Aur Sab Swapna meaning.. do japa Guru Guru all the rest is dream We are so blessed to have divine Shee Maa and Swamiji to so richly bless us and guide us on our path. To just think of them.. [beyond words!]. with thanksgiving and love, jayadeva
Guest guest
Thank you for sharing Guru Satchidananda's note. it sounds a deep truth for us. I have a photo of the murti of Durga in the Devi Mandir with Shree Maa's handwriting on it. She wrote: "May Durga Bless you and remove your difficulties. Peace." She gave copies out to everyone who came to the temple on Mother's Day one year. The writing has faded to the point that I can barely make it out, but I still get a huge blessing every time I look at it or think of it. Durga is sitting on her lion (Dharma) with Her eight arms and all of her weapons. She looks serene and in perfect equilibrium A small murti of Sri Ramakrishna is at her feet. I have had the privilege of making puja at the feet of this murti in the Devi Mandir. This little photo is the murti I use for my puja's to Durga at home. Guest guest
Like it is water and i am very thirsty. I know exactly what you mean brother. I sat every morning at the feet of that Durga murti at Devi Mandir and did puja for three months. How I wish I could do that forever! Worldly concerns are throwing veils over me now. I'm falling and slipping through the black strands of Shri Kali Ma's hair. It's all beautiful, and it sets up an unbelieveable sense of terrible longing. It's all puja. It's all puja. As long as we keep the awareness. Mother resides in the world as the world! Guest guest
I love your post, maybe because I have been feeling much of what you have said there for a few weeks now but earlier this week one night while taking with Mother the need came to read the Cosmic Puja. Though using the book daily for specific worship, there was much about it that I had forgotten, anyway I came across the astra puja (worship of the weapons of war) and chanted that scripture taking 1 mala of each weapon. The morning I awoke feeling renewed. Mother's continued blessings and love. Kaliananda Nirmalananda Saraswati <nirmalananda1008 > wrote: Like it is water and i am very thirsty.
