JAI GURU !!!

I just chanted the Guru Gita at 10 pm as my part in the Thanksgiving

Guru Gita. I am getting ready to go for the 11 pm slot and complete

our sankalpa.

I finished the chanting in 45 minutes and have 15 mins before I go

again.

I wanted to share a technique that I used during the chanting.

Even though I am studying the Guru Gita as part of our Saturday

discussion, I dont chant it very often, and so the words dont roll

off my tongue very easily. I took the time today to mark up some of

the phrases that are particularly difficult.

For example Verse 182 - the very last verse on page 202 of "The Guru

and the Goddess"

It is printed like this

samsarasagarasamuddharanaikamantram

brahmadidevamunipujitasiddhamantram

etc etc

Quite forbidding you will agree ..

So I took a pen and drew lines in between breaking up into more bite

size words

So the above phrases break into

samsara sagara samuddhar anaika mantram

brahm adi deva muni pujita siddha mantram

Hmmmm more readable ! And the next time I come back to read it (in

another few minutes) I am not going to fumble over the phrases like

the earlier times ...

Wanted to share this ... just in case anyone finds it useful !!

Ta Ta - I am off to chant . Have just another 5 minutes left !!!

Happy Thanksgiving !

Jai Guru !
