Dear Latha ~ this does help. Thank you. I am still so in learning

phase : ) or baby steps phase. It was wonderful to participate in

the group sadhana of reading the Guru Gita. Whenever I read, I always

read the Sanskrit transliteration first, which as you said can be

quite intimidating, with the words all run together (thank you for

that technique; it is wonderful, and I will use it). Then I read the

English. I do it this way because, if only in a small way I am

beginning to recognize some Sanskrit words and their English

counterparts.

I love doing these group sadhanas. Will there be one for Christmas?

Linda,

If I may, I will make a suggestion....

Latha said she uses a pen. I would recommend against this. A light

pencil mark is all that is needed, and it is really a struggle, for me

at least, to figure out which letters belong to which words. I have

had to change more than a few! I'm not sure about the ink (the ink

used to print it) in the Guru Gita (I think it's a little better), but

the ink in the Chandi is not very permanent. It tends to erase along

with the pencil marks, so if you make a mark, keep it light.

Jai Maa! Jai Gurudeva!
