Guest guest
Is it better to live life following our every desire or to spend great deals of time in contemplation over whether or not to follow our desires? There are no tweeners here, aka no middle ground. You must choose one of those two and tell me why you feel its better. --Bri "Purity is within the eye of the beholder. Forgive me, I have to be a bit perverse and immediately break the rules :-) Rather than middle ground, maybe none of the above? Live in the flame of THE desire that burns away all the other desires? j.

Dear Brian, I think we start off trying to follow our every desire - the child wants everything it can lay its eyes and hands on. Then as the child grows it realizes that there are some desires that it can follow and some that it cannot. To answer your question - it takes a lot of guts to follow our every desire, and also to follow through in the face of obstacles. So I say that we contemplate what desire is worth following - ie establish the goal - and follow that through. Thank you for the question Latha
