With sound methodology it can be done. 35/144 Shiva ki jai! Dear rudran ~ can you please tell me what the word "ki" in "Shiva ki jai" means? I have been wanting to know this ever since I saw the video of Shree Maa and Swami's tour, and in one segment they are saying to everyone ki jai! Guest guest
I don't know what the "ki" in "ki jai" means, but ki does turn up in east asian words such as Akido. To the Japanese the word ki is equivalent to the mardarin word "chi" as in Tai Chi. In east asia "do" as contained in bushido, akido, and tai quan do, means way. "Do" is short for Dao or Tao, which again means way or path. It might be interesting if Latha could find out for us just what the sanscrit/hindi meaning for "ki" is when we exclaim Shiva Ki Jai. , nierika@a... wrote: > > rudran wrote: > > Our path in sadanna should > become our long run, for it can really take us places....Best to drink from > the > cup of moksha and to be reabsorbed within the infinite. Guest guest
I, too, once asked this same question of a Sanskrit pundit. He explained to me that it means "to this one" - an emphatic focus. jayadeva , "Latha Nanda" <lathananda> wrote: > > > > > It might be interesting if Latha could find out for us just what > >the > > sanscrit/hindi meaning for "ki" is when we exclaim Shiva Ki Jai. > > > > > Ki means "to" here > > "Shiva Ki Jai " means "Victory TO Shiva" > > > Jai Maa > Latha
