Guest guest
Dear All, When we chant the Kushandika before beginning any worship/chant/puja, there is a set of mantras for bowing to the lineage of Gurus "Om Gurubhyo Namaha" etc until "Om Namah Shivaya". These set of lines come before the snapping of the fingers in the 10 directions prior to the sankalpa. Here is what we do when chant those mantras Om Gurubhyo Namah - Place your hands in the pranam or namaste position and take it to the left side of your body - 9'o clock position. Om paramagurubhyo Namah - Lift your hands to 10 o'clock om paraparagurubhyo namah - lift your hands to 11 o'clock om parameshti gurubhyo namah - lift your hands above your head - 12 o'clock om gam ganeshaya namah - hands at 1 o'clock om anantaya namah - hands at 2 o' clock om aim hrim klim chamundayai vicche - an anticlockwise sweep of the hands (still folded together) from 2 o'clock to 9 o'clock, and then clockwise back to 12 o'clock to chant "Om Namah Shivaya" Jai Maa.
