Guest guest
Dear All, Losing Faith - I have faced this many times and think this may be the case for others too. As long as we have faith, we can deal with any problem - "bring it on" we'll say. But the moment that we lose faith, we lose heart - and even the smallest task takes a giant effort. So faith is absolutely indispensable. It is nourishment. It is what keeps us going. Once , a few weeks ago , I was having a chat with Shree Maa and She said this to me - I paraphrase - "If you pray to God, he WILL take care of you. The results may come slowly, but they WILL come. You just have to keep the faith". Simple enough words, but so POWERFUL when they came from Her mouth - and I still feel so energized just taking heart from those words. Faith ! Faith ! FAITH !!!! Let us keep the Faith alive through our constant prayers and Sadhana ! Here is a poem found on the web. My thanks to the author Wes Stephenson. Do you find a similarity between his words and the Chandi? Jai Maa Latha ============================================ THE BATTLE FOR FAITH - By Wes Stephenson. The darker thoughts come creeping forth >From prisons in my mind Where they've remained in banishment Since faith had them confined. Despair and fear and doubt and dread Are masters of escape Who overpower guards of hope When faith gets out of shape. Yes, faith requires nourishment >From fountains proven pure; Heavenly truths that calm the soul Can make the mind secure. The power of prayer, the written word, The thoughts that so inspire, Are needed daily in my life For faith to keep it's fire. And succored strong my hope shall stand And all despair defeat; 'Til faith perfects to knowledge and My victory's complete. ====================================
Guest guest
Latha, One word from the guru is enough to banish all manner of difficulties, I think. How fortunate you are to be near her. However, in my personal experience, I have been geographically near and felt emotionally far several times and at those time the physical nearness didnt help much. It is only when I started to do seva and sadhana that my visits and regular stays became meaningful. IMHO, the only way to have the link with the Guru is through the tools that they give - mantra or chanting or system of meditation and loving seva. I guess it is like a loving relationship with anyone - when the love is there , we find ways of expressing that love however far or close we are. When we are near, we go and visit and hang around. When we are far, we email/call/mail and generally KEEP IN TOUCH. Love Latha
