Guest guest
Here is something that Swamiji said the other day ... A parikrama in the temple is a path around the temple . Typically the devotee circumambulates this path atleast once . The asan on the other hand - is the seat taken by the devotee during sadhana with a firm sankalpa. Swamiji said that ... When we walk around the parikrama , we circumambulate the Goddess. When we sit in an asan, the Goddess circumambulates us. Gimme asan siddhi Maa !!!! Hi Ardis, That is interesting, I've heard that the Bon religion followers in Tibet ( pre Buddhist ) go counterclockwise around Mt Kailash. Guest guest
Thank you Kanda. When I first went to the Devi Mandir in Napa, I circumambulated the entire temple grounds. I intuitively walked clockwise. I am glad that I did it correctly. In Nepal I was told to circumbulate the stupas counterclockwise.
