How do we respectfully dispose religious items that have become

damaged or worn with constant use - such as

Murtis,photos,Flowers,Scriptures,Garments worn by murti ,Asan,

ornaments

 

Swamiji's response:

 

Murtis- in water

Photos- in fire

Flowers- in water or at the base of a tree

Scriptures- No way to dispose of them

Garments worn by murti - gift or trash

Asan- gift or trash

ornaments-gift
